Christmas Past...

Chris got a bee in his bonnett this morning to clean out the junk drawer. There were two rolls of film in there and he was going to throw them out! You can only imagine my shreik that he, "WAS NOT!" So glad that the photos didn't get tossed - this was some of my digital record that I was missing! Not sure why they ended up on film and not digital - but here are a few images from Christmas 2006! Bella was just 1 and Peyton was rocking the bangs!

Leaving cookies and milk for Santa and a few reindeer treats and red water for Rudolph. Same things we still do and are looking forward to this year!
It doesn't take much to make the girls happy. Just give 'em a box! Sophia looks quite content!

Hike it...

We got some more hiking time in today before we came home. This is one of the original log homes that is on the property where we stayed.
Where there's muck, there's Peyton & Bella. Striking a pose!

I'm hoping Peyton has started to outgrow the "cheesy" grin. This was actually a nice picture and I didn't even have to yell...
Then we stopped and picked out our Christmas tree on the way home. I'm starting to feel festive for the holidays! I can't wait for Thanksgiving and then on to Christmas!

There's Snow???

As Bella would say, "What the heck?" We thought we would drive up and see if we could see a "dusting" of snow. We ended up driving the van - with no all-wheel drive - through serious accumulation.
There wasn't a good spot to sled, but we made due.

I had a number of these thrown at me - thanks Bella!

Who knew that Mt. Baker would have so much snow already! We were shocked! But the girls obviously had a great time!

SnowWater...

We had a very quiet weekend with no cable, no internet and not cell phone service... We had lots of fire in fire place and a couple of movies and lots of swimming in the pool.
The girls loved going on walks to see the Nooksack. It was absolutely roaring!

We decided they never see the sun with this amount of moss on the trees!

All About Boo...

Bella finally got a chance to do something all by herself. She was such a good sport through Peyton's soccer practices and games we thought it was her turn. The only other activity she has done is swim lessons, which were always with Peyton. So here she is doing gymnastics! She was sooooo excited!
She was quite the natural and can't wait to go back!

Trick-or-Treat...

We started trick-or-treating early - during the day (I've told the girls this was a "no-no!") Had to see Grandma & Pappa - the girls were so excited to finally get their costumes on and get their first candy.
Bella graciously agreed to wear the Bee costume again this year - she was super cute again and now it definately won't fit next year. Peyton was the 3rd incarnation of the chicken! Peyton wore this same hat when she was 2 and dressed as the chicken. One of the feather boas is even from that cosume. Then Bella wore it one year and now Peyton is wearing it yet again (I had to add two more feather boas and some stuffing)! Anyone want to be a chicken next year?

We got to trick-or-treat with our cousins this year! What a fun time! Peyton and Bella were exhausted from keeping up though and were out as soon as their heads hit the pillow!

The End...

These may be the last pictures you ever see of Peyton playing soccer. She stuck it out for the season, but I'm not sure she wants to play again... Can't say I'm too upset - I'm not a fan of the cold and wet!
She had a great game on Saturday. Her team finally started playing together and Peyton had some great kicks moved the ball down the field really well. Her team even scored!

This is how Bella watches the game!
