We Love a Little Adventure...

We finally made it to Fort Worden yesterday.  It's been on our list for a while and with the recent exploration of our own little island fort, we were inspired.

Alexander's Castle - The oldest building on the property.

There was a little hide & seek in the dark rooms under the guns....

We explored the beach....

and light house...

And finished off the visit with a little heavy lifting!

Big Guns!

We made it a point to explore some this weekend.  We went to a park at the end of the island that we hadn't been to before.  

It use to be a Fort with 2 big guns & a mine field out in the water.

The metal base of the guns is still there....

The girls thought it was pretty cool. Next we'll have to make it to some of the other area attractions that are a little bigger.

The Pumpkin Send Off!

We found this place on Saturday..... and were suitably impressed.

Peyton chose to take her pumpkin back after dark and leave it with the collection.
