All things BIG and Massive....

We had the rare opportunity to haul our own bark this weekend. Yes, I know it sounds odd and it's a rather long story. The girls both took individual rides with Dad in the massive scooper. Even Bella did which surprised us all!

Even Mom got to drive with a little coaching from Chris so I didn't run off the road or run into a pile of bark!

For Aunt Jeanie...

We had our annual visit with Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Jim at Samish Island. The girls were treated to water instead of the mud they were expecting (and strangely excited about) and Cousin Greg in the water to catch them. Thank you Greg!!!
Greg went first. The girls took a little egging on! Those pictures are later.
Every year Jeanie is kind enough to bring special books to the 4 girls. They are so excited about it they can hardly stand it! Peyton and Bella both took there books to bed that night and fell asleep with them.

Making bracelets with Aunt Jeanie.
The big debate - who was going to go first! I couldn't stand it and offered $5 bucks to the first one in - Olivia got the pay day!
Bella joined in on the yelling! This was right up her alley!

Hi Goat!

The girls and I went to the farm this week - well actually the girls went twice, once with our babysitter while I painted trim and then we went again the next day because I wanted to see all the baby animals myself. Though the horses weren't babies they were very sweet.

"Hi Goat!" was about all Bella said the entire time we were there. She was very excited about the goat!

Baby Peacocks! There were 6 all together! Something I'd never seen before.
Two of the babies are on the left and the head of the mother on the right.
We were able to feed the animals and the bunnies ate right out of Peyton's hand.

So sleepy...

Bella doesn't think she needs naps anymore, however, I think this photo says otherwise. The girls were with Laura today and Bella fell asleep on the way home. Her carseat was in Laura's car and had to come out along with Bella. She didn't even twitch when I moved her!

4 in a row...

I haven't figured out how this happens. We never - well almost never - ask them to sit in a row, but somehow they magically put themselves that way. I had to take a picture.
Then the craziness ensues! Bella was right in there with them!

Dress like me...

The girls have very few outfits that are the same. But occassionally, I buy something that matches. They think it's great and wear them together whenever they can.

Cannonballlllll!!!!!!

The girls - Olivia, Ali, Peyton & Bella just love to jump off the neighbors dock at Grammy Sue and Daddy Bob's. It's just the right height so that they can touch. After a while we graduated to jumping off the end of Grammy Sue & Daddy Bob's dock into about 5' of water. I joined in and we had a great time - however, you'll notice there are no photos of me doing the jumping!

Where there's a will...

Saturday morning donuts at the park - what fun and no mess in my car.

Bella has her donut in one hand and got stuck. She would not let go of the donut to save herself!
Not a lick on wind, but we flew Peyton's kite. She worked very hard on making it this last week at VBS and was so excited to fly it. So I promised we would get donuts and take everything to the park Saturday morning - so here we are!
The girls just ran and ran with the kite behind them to make it fly! What ever it takes!!!

And another...

We've been on a big project binge lately. The girls have been very patient and I think even sometimes enjoyed the chaos.
The biggest project has been limbing up all the trees to open up the view and also just let some more natural light hit the dirt. The girls enjoyed climbing through and hiding toy animals amongst the branches.
And watching dadda sweat through cutting them down!
Little train break on the slide. All that watching is hard work!

Roughin it...

Peyton has only ever camped in Grammy Sue and Daddy Bob's yard with Daddy. We've maybe ruined her for the realities of camping in a campground.
Lakefront campsite with pancakes served in the morning? Not exactly a tough life!

Who said Sparklers were safe?

Give the kid an exploding shower of sparks and let her wave it around? What were we thinking!
They thought it was great though. So with very close adult supervision we made it through.
Then the girls had to sit back and let dad do the big stuff.
