Snow Day with NO Snow?

What the Hay! No snow at all at our house, but there was enough everywhere else to cancel Peyton's school. She was "bummed". We made the most of our day - made a fort, pretzels, cut Bella's hair for the first time and plenty of snuggle time. We'll see how Bella's hair looks tomorrow when it's all dry.

Hopping in their bunny slippers!

Little bit of Fishin'...

Between throwing sticks and pretending to fish the girls were occupied for a solid 35 - 40 minutes! This weather has been fantastic for our fresh air quota.

House...

"Now Bella, I know how to wrap persons up. So, you have to follow instructions!" Overhead while the girls were playing house... soon followed by, "But you're not listening to me!" I'm assuming Peyton was trying to make Bella into a "baby".

Flower Power

I don't get the girls to pose very often and not usually very well. However, they've been enjoyhing these giant silk flowers so they thought this was fun!

Just Beachy....

The sun had disappeared by the time we made it to the park yesterday, but the girls still had a good time. Peyton brought home a bunch of shells and rocks that "are just too beautiful to leave" at the beach!

What a difference a day makes...

Today we're sitting inside coloring and watching the rain and wind. The rain is actually coming down in sheets, sideways across the water! Yesterday we had the most beautiful weather. We made it to the park and for a bike ride!

Just like old times...

Uncle D's and Divo came over yesterday and spent the afternoon and evening with us. Peyton was thrilled that Divo was able to come inside and Bella warmed to the idea after some tears and drama. Divo is possibly the best dog ever - I know I've said it before, but it really is true! We watched the Seahawks game and went tubbing! Peyton was in heaven!

Post game/dinner brownies!

Dance Party...

The girls are back into dress up and love to dance in the living room. Well, Peyton dances and Bella does her thing!

So she'll want to kill me when she's 16...

But then, what teenage girl doesn't want to kill her mother when she's 16. We've been tackling the potty training issue - I'm so over diapers! Bella thinks it's all so funny and likes to lounge - hence we had the place the pull up in front of her. She's been potty twice now on the big potty, but I think some of the novelty has worn off and she's not as interested today. Peyton was never really any work - she just started going by herself - mostly. I knew it couldn't be that easy the second time around!

Sticks...

The girls spend a large part of the weekend entertaining themselves. Chris and I had house projects to tackle... They did pretty well inside and out. The sticks in our yard are a constant source of entertainment.

Hula...not the sunny kind...

We got a few sun breaks this week and enjoyed a little time outside. Peyton enjoyed riding "Flyer" her horse (stick) named Flyer because he can fly. Bella enjoyed digging in the dirt with her baby pig. And I had to prove that I can still Hula. Peyton actually got the picture!

Pure Joy...

It's the simple things that we tend to take for granted. Peyton and Bella had such a great time having family time on New Years Day.

Singing at the top of their lungs!
